This is an endurance competition. All contestants will have to place the palms of their right hands onto specified palm decals on their assigned Subaru cars and keep it there until one last contestant remains. The longest-standing contestant will be declared the winner.
It started in 2002.
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents have to undergo two qualifying rounds. For the First Qualifying Round, interested contestants can register online lastpalmstanding.com during the qualifying period (31 August 2019 – Sunday 20th October 2019). The shortlisted contestants will qualify for the Second Qualifying Round, which will take place on Saturday 2 November 2019 at Civic Plaza, Ngee Ann City. A total of 320 contestants will qualify in this round.
There will be 10 Subaru cars on-site for the competition.
Contestants are entitled to a 5-minute break (with the exception of the 7pm break) once every six hours – 7am, 1pm, 7pm, 1am - each day. During the family break at 7pm, one family member, above 12 years old, is allowed to enter the arena. Only those with legitimate Family Passes are allowed to enter the Arena.
Additional break benefits will be given to participants with supporters who take part in the online game at lastpalmstanding.com.
The top 10 ranked scorers in each Reward Round may assign an extra 5-minute break to a Contestant ("Selected Contestant") of their choice who is still remaining in the Contest, and the Selected Contestant may award an extra 5-minute break to another Contestant of their choice who is still remaining in the Contest. The 1st Bonus Break will be on November 02, 10pm.
